WHO I AM

I am Yew Tong and (will always be) a student of architecture. Most simply call me Tong. I spend most my time imagining what isn't, while studying what is.

 

I am especially interested in the process of designing and where in the process I posit myself. Chasing the dragon of a self-referential design process, I found cause to believe in architecture thinking as a viable and applicable design process beyond the industry-specified field of built forms. In return, architecture would also do well to welcome design thinking outside the traditional industry. I would therefore like most of all, to connect with design flows from all over. I believe it to be the way forward towards effecting real social change.
